I was born in the U.S. but raised in Taiwan from the age of nine, growing up as a third-culture kid in a Buddhist/Taoist household. I found Jesus in high school, which began a journey of exploring my faith. I eventually found a spiritual home in Boston, where I worked as an elementary school teacher for twelve years. After experiencing profound emotional loss, I began to yearn for more in my relationship with God. This became a spiritual turning point that led me to receive, and later train in, spiritual direction through the PAX Center. Today, I delight in how spiritual direction invites curious wondering about God and helps us listen for His loving voice. I also serve as the ministry leader for spiritual direction at my church, while also supporting my husband in his pastor and chaplain roles.
